D-Aspartic Acid (DAA) is a non-essential amino acid found naturally in the body and has been characterised as having 2 primary functions from a hormonal standpoint.
Firstly, DAA helps stimulate a heightened release of Luteinizing Hormone, which initiates testosterone release in males and secondly it is involved in the biosynthesis of the hormone testosterone itself.
In essence, DAA helps both increase the release of testosterone but also the production as well.
Clinical research suggests taking DAA daily, may result in an increase in circulating free testosterone levels by up to 42% within 12 days of consistent use in young healthy males.
